TBT: Utah

Ahhh, Utah…

What comes to mind when you hear that? Well let’s be honest! Mormons! Mormons, mountain, maybe if you like basketball the Jazz.

Delicate Arch is one of the most recognizable arches in the United States.

But there really is much more to this state than those. There are wonderful people and not all of them are Mormon. There are amazing mountains, lovely skyline and quite a food scene. I can’t comment on the food, that is my wife’s domain so check her website out.

“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.” – Henry David Thoreau

“Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year.” – Chad Sugg

The nature here is truly magnificent. The shopping? Ain’t bad either. I did a portrait session for a friend here, his entire wardrobe is from the City Creek Center. Oh yeah, he’s single for now ladies.

The shopping mall here is not the largest, but it is quite a nice mall. Come and see for yourself.

Architecture here is quite western charming, and given how much this place is surrounded by nature you can’t be surprised if a flying friend comes within a meter to where you’re standing.

Ogden, Utah

Most people show off Utah with photos of the Mormon Temple Square. It is indeed a great sight to see in the city. But I don’t have photos of that because it only perpetuate the stereotype. There is much more to Utah than Mormons. There are great bars serving great food. Tattoo conventions in contravention to Mormon morality and everything to do here from skiing to hot air balloon rides. Come and see for yourself.
